Damon Hope was born in Aotearoa New Zealand on the 8th January, 1974.

Damon’s creative insights and fervour for innovation and creativity

were greatly inspired by his mother,a photographer and father,a sculptor

Damon is a multimedia artist active in the realms of painting, thru to design, thru to filmmaking and

documentaries. He has immersed himself in the most fundamental language of our time,

colour and geometry, together with cymatics*, all of which has inspired him to find and create new

perspectives, resulting in unique insights.

*The term cymatics was coined by the Swiss scientist Hans Jenny, and is derived from the Greek ‘kyma

meaning wave, and ‘ta kymatika’ meaning matters pertaining to waves.

“There are no passengers on planet earth; we are all crew.” This is a quotation of Buckminster Fuller,

one of Damon’s foremost sources of inspiration. Terms like ‘Spaceship Earth’, ephemeralization,

and synergetics, were both coined and popularized by Fuller.

Other sacred geometrists, architects, astronomers and artists like Nikola Tesla, Benoît Mandelbrot,

Galileo Galilei, and Aldous Huxley have inspired his learning process.

Damon’s meeting with Geoffrey was a confluent one, with a meeting of minds congruent in many aspects

of insight and perspective. This entailed a freedom to interpret Geoffrey’s words and to create a geometric

language, which enhanced this gathering of wise insights into the fundamental ideals

that make us human.
